Hi, my name is Robert Broen. I'm a family man, blessed with a lovely wife and four beautiful daughters. We have a nice house in Herten, a village in the south east part of The Netherlands.
On workdays I drive 30 miles (50km) to work in a really small cheap car with a really big Ubuntu bumper-sticker on the back. Even if I had money for a better car, I would probably spend it on 1001 things before buying another car. At work I mainly program in Perl and JavaScript and code in HTML and CSS, improving office tools or working on an open source CMS. Great work and great coworkers.
In my spare time I try to study for my LPI exams and improve my cmsms skills. To get away from the computer and take some time off, I like to go model racing with radio controlled cars. Unfortunately my car is not running at the moment, but hopefully later in the season I'll be driving instead of marshalling.
If I get the chance I like to go sailing, enjoying the pure power of mother nature. Just a few more years and my daughters will be able to swim well enough to go with me (strapped in really big lifesaving vests).
