Expanding CMSMS
- CMS Made Simple can be expanded in three ways, through the use of Modules, through Tags or through Userdefined Tags.
Modules
- Modules tend to be larger and normally have a user interface. One example of a module would be News. Though it is included with CMS Made Simple it really is just another module.
Tags
- Tags are smaller pieces of PHP code that usually assist in writing your pages.
Userdefined Tags
- Userdefined Tags are PHP code snippets too. The difference is you can create/edit/delete them inside the Admin Console "Extensions/User Defined Tags".
- Of course, there is a fourth way which is to edit CMS Made Simple's source files, but this is not a good idea normally.
- See Extensions for more detailed information.
